Guys, I cannot get enough of this delicious green smoothie! I start my day with this smoothie at least 5 times a week. I am not a morning person and am always rushing to get out of the house, so I need a quick, simple breakfast – and this is it! It’s perfect post-workout as well.
1 handful of baby spinach
1 scoop of chocolate flavored Vega One Nutritional Shake plant protein powder (It’s dairy, sugar, soy, and gluten free. And it’s certified vegan and non-GMO verified.)
1 teaspoon of flax seed oil / Read about the benefits of flax seed oil here. Since I’ve been adding flax seed oil, I’ve seen a huge improvement in my skin. I have struggled with acne my entire life and adding this one ingredient has made a huge difference! My skin feels more hydrated, softer, and has cleared up. Flax seed oil can pose some not so great side effects (none of which I have experienced) so be sure to consult your doctor before adding this to your next smoothie.
1 tablespoon of Beckah’s Bangin’ Butter (the best almond butter, ever)!
1 cup of water
1/2 cup of frozen berries / I buy Wyman’s brand which is a blend of strawberries, mango, and blueberries. You can also substitute the berries with either an apple or pear.
1. Combine ingredients into a blender and blend until desired consistency.
2. Enjoy. It’s really that easy!
